in a far away world…
In a far away world, where every living being and all of their inanimate creations are inextricably linked to their own “Life Plant,” animal astronauts have colonized a small planet sustained by a dying “Life Tree.” In order to keep their tree (and planet) alive, these astronauts have gone on several dangerous missions to retrieve a special Galactic Fertilizer. The story of Colony VI follows the brave but sentimental Bunny Captain, as she leads her crew (Doggie, Bear, and Aardvark) on one of these missions.
Being half-Japanese, Laura grew up immersed in the cultures of both her parents. In the west, people say there is a “man in the moon,” but in Japan, they say there is a “rabbit making mochi on the moon.” Laura fondly remembers her favorite Japanese children’s story about a kindhearted rabbit who was taken to live on the moon because of her noble actions. While the stories are quite different, this was Laura’s initial inspiration for writing Colony VI.
The story will be brought to life in a 3D, fully animated music video (with a current length of around 6 minutes). You’ll soar through vivid outer space visuals alongside charming and colorful characters in a beautifully animated world.

Colony VI will mark the launch of Laura’s new album. She’ll be releasing several fully arranged versions of new original songs throughout the year! Each having a special video to go along with it.
